 Candidate should have passed (1) Secondary School Certificate Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary / Higher Secondary Education with English as a subject or equivalent qualification recognized by the government;  And

 (a) Successfully pre-service Live Stock Inspector Course for a period of at least one year, approved by the Government of Gujarat;  Or (b) three year Diploma in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry or Diploma in Animal Husbandry from any University established or incorporated by the Central or State University of Agriculture or Veterinary Medicine Act and accredited by the Council of Agricultural Research of India or (ICAR) (c)  Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules should be basic knowledge of computer application prescribed in 1967, (d) Candidate should have adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
