In Telugu, only occasional sports films are made. They are only possible when the personal interest in the protagonist or the director wants to make films in that context. So this time Varunthej prepared the story of 'Gini' by showing his love for boxing. The film, which came to fruition three years ago, had interruptions with Corona during the filming scene. Release dates have been postponed several times even after the film was ready. Did the film finally move the audience forward, albeit late? How did Varun Tej become a boxer?
Cathentante: Even after telling his mother that he went to boxing ... Gaini (Varunthej) is trying to become a boxer. The mine has a solid heritage. He is not someone else, he is the son of former state champion boxer Vikramaditya (Upendra). Vikramaditya is one step away from becoming a national champion when he is brutally deceived at the hands of his own men. In addition, the steroid consumption of the scar. However, Mine is of the opinion that he does not know what happened to his father. What kind of experience did Gain have when he stepped into the boxing ring, leaving aside even the word he was driven to by his own purpose? How did he achieve what he set out to do? What is the truth about mine? What did he do when he found out about it?
How it is: Plenty of drama in sports themed movies. The heights and heights of the game, the thrill of winning someone, the unpredictable twists and turns that take place in that sequence ... all of these are things that make the spectator bloodthirsty. The films are made to appeal to audiences from all walks of life, combining the politics and family affiliations of the sports system. ‘Gaini’ seems to focus more on the second aspect than the game itself. It unfolds as a revenge story of the protagonist associated with the game. The way this story is woven around the emotions of his family members, as well as the way he sees them, along with the player who lost the game, feels special. Despite being a film that explores a new dimension in sports dramas, the storyline also fails to live up to the audience's imagination in a formula formula.
There was no significant catharsis in the first half. The story begins with Vikramaditya's flashback to the movie. Gaini, his love, discovers the family background. There will be a turn in the break scenes. Original story, drama in the second half. The second half begins with Vikramaditya exposing his deception. Factors such as the politics of the sports system and the entry of the betting mafia make the second half interesting. However, it seems necessary to add more conflict to these. The scenes that revolve around the Indian Boxing League are reminiscent of current sporting practices. The boxing background, the strong cast, the impressive production values ... all give the film a compelling feel, but it feels plain in terms of storytelling. The film manages to entertain as well as inform, with much of the action taking place in boxing fights. Tamanna's special anthem is like being forcefully inserted. All the beauty and dance is entertaining.
Who did it: The main attraction of the film starring Varunthej. The way he looks like a boxer, therefore, impresses with the way he has shaped himself. Cultivated dark emotions as an athlete. The roles of Upendra, Sunil Shetty and Jagapathibabu are crucial for the film. Upendra, Sunil Shetty seems to be the right choice for the roles of boxers. Naveen Chandra was impressed. Nadia and Sai Manjrekar performed brilliantly in line with the cast. Technically the film is superior. George C. Williams' camera work is the highlight of the film. Background music is even more important to the film than the lyrics. This is the first film for director Kiran Korrapati. Despite the story's background, his mastery of drawing was not enough. Construction values are high.
Strengths
+ By Varunthej
+ Second half
+ Photography .. Construction Values
Weaknesses
- Emotions are ripe
- A story that conforms to the imagination of the audience
Finally: the ‘mine’ punch has to get a little tighter.
